Currently reading: Definitely Dead by Charlaine Harris
Oh, those southern vampire mysteries!
My purchases today!
I’m currently reading: Interworld by Neil Gaiman and Micheal Reaves. And I am loving it. I’m so sad I’m almost to the end. :( Most reviews talk about how its not very “Neil Gaiman” and how they think its for a much younger audience. I beg to differ. I think its very “Neil Gaiman”. In a “Neverwhere” and “Anansi Boys” and “Coraline” kind of way.

1) What is your most expensive book, and what is your most inexpensive book?
My most expensive book is probably Brave Story by Miyuki Miyabe. I think it was about $20 when I bought it from Books-A-Million. I started it liked, two years ago, but never got farther than about three chapters. Maybe I’ll pick it up again this summer.
My least expensive book is Are You There God, Its Me Margaret by Judy Blume..it was given to me as a gift in 4th grade by my kindergarten teacher, so…it was free.
Wrath
2) Which author do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Of course I am having a hard time of thinking of anyone right now… but at the moment I’m going to go with L.J. Smith. I really enjoyed the Vampire Diaries series until she kept on releasing new books. I also was liking the Night World series, but I would really start to connect with the characters and want to know more about what was going on with them…and then the next book moved on to completely new characters, so it left me hanging. I hated that.
Gluttony
3) What book have you deliciously devoured over and over again, with no remorse whatsoever?
This is All: The Pillowbook of Cordelia Kenn by Aidan Chambers. I freaking LOVE that book, so much in fact, that I bought it twice. (I loaned it to a friend while he was in rehab, and he kept forgetting to get it back to me, so I just bought a new one.) I guess I love it so much because I feel like I identify with the character in so many ways. Her “lists”, her unabashed sexuality, her crazy thoughts…gah, I love that book.
Sloth
4) What book have you neglected reading due to laziness?
Oh, haha, there have been quite a few of those! Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clark, Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand, Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles, and The Book Thief by Markus Zusak…
Pride
5) What book do you most talk about in order to sound like a very intellectual reader?
Ummmm…I would say Les Miserable. And I don’t do that anymore, but I used to. I read the unabridged version (with all that French in it) towards the beginning of high school.
Lust
6) What attributes do you find most attractive in male or female characters?
Bad-assery is one of my favorite attributes. I love heroines like Georgina Kincaid (Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead) or Lisbeth Salander (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson). I like characters with bold personalities that are curious, and just have to go and investigate things, and then kick some ass!

the sixth and final book in the Georgina Kincaid series.

I’ve been reading these books for years, and it breaks my heart a little bit now that it is over. =’(

I recommend this series to anyone who enjoys the supernatural(Succubus, demons, vampires, angels) and sex (not an erotic novel, but it is not shy about the sex scenes) .

I finished Ptolemy’s Gate today. And i was just, so heartbroken. The book was wonderful… I couldn’t have asked for anything better. But that was the last book in the series. =[
